We install on an average, 4 to 5 clutches a week. When we replace a clutch, we inspect the input shaft on the transmission for wear. We inspect the clutch fork, bushings and bellhousings. We remove flywheel to resurface. We inspect rear main seal, bushings on bellhousing or rear of motor, U joints and carrier bearing on drivelines. We check clutch linkage and adjust if needed. We offer Eaton and aftermarket clutches, from easy pedal to self-adjusting clutches.
We call customer to let him know what we found ( Root Cause Analysis ), share the quote and get authorization on additional repairs. After clutch is installed, Mr Jorge Lopez, the owner, takes the truck for a test drive to make sure everything is perfect. he has more than 40 years of experience as a C.D.L ( commercial driving license ) driver so he knows exactly how Commercial trucks and trailers should drive. An average clutch job takes from 8 to 10 hours depending on make and model.
If we start work on your truck at 8:00 am, we usually finish by day end. This is a same day service provided all parts are available.
