Get That Transmission Oil Leak Fixed Now!
Get That Transmission Oil Leak Fixed Now! This truck came to our shop for a clutch adjustment. The driver was complaining that the clutch was slipping. After inspection, Marcos, one of our diesel mechanics, found out that there was no problem with the clutch and it was brand new. But he noticed an oil leak coming from the input shaft and bell housing on the transmission. He checked the level of oil in the transmission and found out that it was low. We sent a quotation for labor charges for removal and installation of transmission required to replace bell housing gasket and input shaft gasket. Once it was approved, Marcos started to disassemble it. The transmission was removed, the new input shaft and bell housing gasket were replaced and pressure washed. We removed and inspected the clutch as well but it was new, so we just pressure washed it and installed it back on the truck. Then transmission was installed back and the truck was test-driven, checked for any oil leaks, and on finding none, the truck was ready to go. We had this truck in and out of our shop in 2 days. We try our best to provide same day service on most jobs.
