TRANSMISSION SYSTEM : 

Transmission refers to the whole drivetrain, including clutch, gearbox, prop shaft (for rear-wheel drive vehicles), differential, and final drive shafts.

The most common application is in automobiles, where the transmission adjusts the internal combustion engine's output to the driving wheels. Such engines must run at a high rotational speed, which is inconvenient for starting, stopping, and slower travel. The transmission shifts the greater engine speed to the slower wheel speed, which increases torque.

We install 4 to 5 clutches per week on average. When we repair a clutch, we look for wear on the transmission's input shaft. The clutch fork, bushings, and bellhousings are all inspected.

 

On drivelines, we check the rear main seal, bushings on the bellhousing or the back of the motor, U joints, and carrier bearings. We inspect the clutch linkage and make any necessary adjustments. Eaton and aftermarket clutches are available, ranging from easy pedal to self-adjusting clutches.

 

We contact the customer to inform him of our findings (Root Cause Analysis), present the cost, and obtain authorization for extra repairs.
